Arc Raiders Transfer System - How to Move Items Before Wipe

14/12/2025

Arc Raiders officially doesn't support item transfer between characters - during Expedition wipe you lose everything except CREDS, Raider Tokens, and other automatic currencies. However, there's a player trading workaround: find a teammate, go to a normal map with Hatch Key, exchange items via Safe Pocket, and extract. For COINS transfer, use Magnetic Accelerator (5,500 COINS/piece, stackable 3x). With Looting MK3 Survivor, you can transfer 23 stacks = 69 Magnetic Accelerators = 379,500 COINS per extract. This way, you can have upgraded Stash, workshop, blueprints, and millions of COINS at level 1 post-wipe. Join CZSK Discord for trade partners or message me on Kick.

When Embark Studios announced the Expedition Project wipe system, I immediately started solving the question:

"How do I preserve progress after wipe?"

Embark's official answer is clear:

"You lose everything except CREDS and Raider Tokens."

But as a tryhard who doesn't like losing progress, I found a way to legally bypass the system - no exploits, no glitches, purely through game mechanics.

Thanks to player trading, you can transfer practically anything to your new character. Including hundreds of thousands of COINS, rare blueprints, and all materials for instant workshop upgrades.

What Automatically Survives Expedition Wipe

Before I get to the transfer strategy, let's clarify what automatically remains on your account after Expedition:

Permanent Items (automatic transfer)

CREDS - Premium currency (purchased with real money)
Raider Tokens - Event currency from special activities
Cosmetic items - All skins, outfits, colors
Achievements - All unlocked achievements
Trial Rank progress - Competitive tier (partial)
Expedition rewards - Skill points, +12 stash slots, buffs
Account Level XP - Meta-progression (partial)

What Disappears (must transfer manually)

COINS - In-game currency (earned through gameplay)
Stash contents - All items in storage
Blueprints - All crafting recipes
Workshop upgrades - Base upgrades
Crafting materials - All resources
Raider Level - Back to level 1

Your 600,000 COINS, rare blueprints from dozens of grinding hours, and fully upgraded workshop = gone according to official rules.

But player trading changes this.

How Player Trading Mechanics Work

Arc Raiders has a built-in trading system - it's not a bug, not an exploit, it's an intended game mechanic. You can drop items from inventory and another player can pick them up and store them in Safe Pocket.

Safe Pocket - The Key to Transfer

Each Raider has a Safe Pocket - a special slot where you can store items that always extract. Safe Pocket contents are guaranteed extraction.

Safe Pocket capacity depends on your Survivor augment:

Augment Level Safe Pocket Slots Transfer Capacity
Base (no augment) 1 slot Low
Looting MK1 1 slot Medium
Looting MK2 1-2 slots High
Looting MK3 1-3 slots Maximum

With Looting MK3 Survivor, you can transfer 23 stacks of items per extract - this is the foundation for efficient mass transfer.

Trading Process - Step by Step

Basic workflow:

  1. Find a trade partner (teammate, community player)
  2. Agree on trade list - who transfers what to whom
  3. Prepare Hatch Keys - for quick and safe extraction
  4. Join normal map (not event map)
  5. Find quiet location (edge of map)
  6. Drop items from inventory (drag and drop)
  7. Partner picks up into Safe Pocket
  8. Extract via Hatch (instant, safe)
  9. Repeat until everything is transferred

💡 Pro tip: For maximum efficiency, use Trio setup - two players handle transfer, third provides security. Saves time and eliminates surprises.

Magnetic Accelerator - Most Efficient COINS Transfer

When you want to transfer COINS, you can't drop them directly - COINS aren't a physical item.

Solution? Convert COINS to high-value stackable items and transfer those.

Why Magnetic Accelerator?

Magnetic Accelerator is a crafting material with perfect transfer properties:

Value: 5,500 COINS per piece
Stack size: 3x per slot
Availability: Craftable or purchase from merchant
Slot efficiency: 16,500 COINS per slot (3x 5,500)

As I already showed in this video, this is the fastest way for COINS transfer.

Mass Transfer Math

Inventory Size Max Stacks Total Accelerators COINS Value
Base (6 slots) 6 18 99,000 COINS
Looting MK1 (12-16 slots) 10 30 165,000 COINS
Looting MK2 (16-20 slots) 16 48 264,000 COINS
Looting MK3 (20-24 slots) 23 69 379,500 COINS

Practical Example

You want to transfer 1,000,000 COINS:

1,000,000 ÷ 5,500 = 182 Magnetic Accelerators needed
182 ÷ 3 (stack size) = 61 slots total
61 ÷ 23 (MK3 capacity) = 3 extracts

With Looting MK3 and Hatch Key = 45-60 minutes total for transferring 1 million COINS.

⚠️ Important: Buy or craft all Magnetic Accelerators BEFORE expedition departure. After wipe, you'll be level 1 without access to high-tier merchants.

Complete Transfer Strategy - Optimized Workflow

When planning an expedition wipe and wanting to preserve progress, here's the step-by-step plan:

Phase 1: Preparation (week before wipe)

Step 1: Convert COINS to Magnetic Accelerators

  • Buy maximum from merchants
  • Craft remainder from materials
  • Stack everything in Stash (prepare for mass transfer)

Step 2: Identify high-value blueprints

  • Rare weapon blueprints
  • High-tier armor pieces
  • Workshop upgrade schematics
  • Items with long unlock grinds

Step 3: Stack crafting materials

  • Tungsten Ingots (high-tier crafting)
  • Beryllium Crystals (advanced items)
  • Rare materials that are hard to farm

Step 4: Find trade partner

  • Ideally long-term teammate
  • Community verified player from Discord
  • Someone you can trust

Step 5: Create trade spreadsheet

  • Google Sheets or Excel
  • Precise list: "I transfer X, receive Y"
  • Prevents confusion and disputes

Phase 2: Execution (during wipe window)

Step 6: Timing coordination

  • Player A wipes FIRST → receives Expedition rewards, restarts at level 1
  • Player B DOESN'T wipe YET → has all items in Stash

Step 7: First trading session

  • Player B (has items) → transfers to Player A (level 1 post-wipe)
  • Multiple extracts until everything is transferred
  • With Looting MK3: 3-5 extracts for 1 million COINS

Step 8: Workshop unlocking

  • Player B can craft items for Player A
  • Transfer blueprints Player A doesn't have unlocked yet
  • Materials for immediate upgrades

Step 9: Player B wipes

  • After completing A's transfer
  • Player B submits their Expedition

Step 10: Reverse trading

  • Player A (has everything) → transfers to Player B (level 1 post-wipe)
  • Repeat process

Phase 3: Post-Transfer Optimization

Step 11: Immediate Stash upgrade

  • With transferred COINS, immediately upgrade Stash capacity
  • +280 slots costs approximately 400,000 COINS
  • Critical for long-term efficiency

Step 12: Workshop priority upgrades

  • Unlock crafting stations
  • Upgrade existing stations
  • Enable high-tier crafting

Step 13: Blueprint consolidation

  • Craft items from transferred blueprints
  • Build starter gear set
  • Prepare for competitive play

Step 14: Leveling boost

  • With materials, craft high-XP items
  • Level quickly without grinding
  • Level 20-30 within first 2-3 hours

Result

Instead of 40+ hours of base progress grind, you're competitive-ready in 2-4 hours post-wipe.

Alternative Items for Transfer

While Magnetic Accelerator is the best choice for COINS, there are other high-value stackables:

Item Value/Piece Stack Size Value/Slot Best For
Magnetic Accelerator 5,500 3x 16,500 Pure COINS transfer
Tungsten Ingots 3,200 5x 16,000 High-tier crafting
Beryllium Crystals 4,100 4x 16,400 Advanced workshop upgrades
Rare Blueprints Varies 1x 5k-20k Instant unlock access
Advanced Med Kits 2,800 3x 8,400 Consumables reserve

Transfer Priority List

Priority 1: COINS (Magnetic Accelerators)
Nothing else gives better COINS-to-slot ratio. This is the foundation.

Priority 2: Rare Blueprints
Instant access to high-tier crafting. Some blueprints require 20+ hours of quests - skip it with transfer.

Priority 3: Crafting Materials (Tungsten, Beryllium)
For immediate workshop upgrades. A level 1 Raider with these materials can upgrade workshop in 5 minutes instead of 20 hours of farming.

Priority 4: Consumables Stock
Med Kits, high-tier ammo. For first raids post-wipe when you don't have crafting access.

Common Transfer Mistakes ❌

Mistake 1: Trading on Event Maps

Event maps (Night Raid, Electromagnetic Storm) have modified rules. Always trade on normal maps (standard daytime maps).

Mistake 2: Forgetting Hatch Key

Hatch Key = instant extract. Without it, you must complete objectives, which delays and complicates things. Always bring Hatch Key to trading sessions.

Mistake 3: Unplanned Transfer

Improvisation = chaos. Create a spreadsheet with precise list beforehand. Both sides know what they're transferring and in what order.

Mistake 4: Trading Without Looting MK3

With base Safe Pocket (6 slots), you need 10x more extracts than with Looting MK3 (23 slots). Invest in the augment before mass transfer.

Mistake 5: Timing Delay

Expedition window is 6 days. If you start transferring on day 6, you won't finish everything. Start day 1 and you'll have enough time.

Mistake 6: Convert COINS After Wipe

After wipe, you're level 1 without access to high-tier merchants. Buy Magnetic Accelerators BEFORE wipe, otherwise you can't acquire them efficiently.

FAQ

Q: Is player trading legal?
A: Yes. It's an intended game mechanic. Embark doesn't classify it as an exploit.

Q: Can I transfer everything?
A: Most things yes - items, blueprints, materials. Account-bound items (some quest rewards) are non-transferable.

Q: How long does it take to transfer 1 million COINS?
A: With Looting MK3 and Hatch Key: approximately 45-60 minutes (3 extracts).

Q: Do I need a trade partner with the same level?
A: No. Level difference doesn't affect trading mechanics. Level 1 can trade with Level 75.

Q: What if my partner wipes before me?
A: That's exactly how it works. First one wipes = gets rewards, second transfers items to them, then second wipes.

Q: Can I trade with myself (alt account)?
A: Technically yes, if you have a second account. But you need a second PC or virtual machine for simultaneous session.

Q: Does anything expire during transfer?
A: No. Items in Safe Pocket are permanent until you extract them.

Q: How many Magnetic Accelerators can I store in Stash?
A: Unlimited (only limited by Stash capacity). If you have +280 Stash upgrade, you can stack thousands.

Q: Does Safe Pocket work on all maps?
A: Yes, except some special event maps with modified rules. Standard maps = always works.

Q: Can I lose items during transfer?
A: No, if they're in Safe Pocket. Safe Pocket contents are guaranteed extract.

Final Recommendation

Player trading transfer system is the most efficient way to preserve progress after Arc Raiders Expedition wipe. Instead of losing everything, you can:

Transfer millions of COINS via Magnetic Accelerators
Keep rare blueprints and skip quest grinds
Stock crafting materials for instant upgrades
Be competitive-ready in 2-4 hours instead of 40+ hours

With Looting MK3 Survivor, Hatch Keys, and a good trade partner = smooth and fast transfer process.
