Silent Hill F is a masterpiece that brings the series back to prominence. Set in 1960s Japan with protagonist Hinako Shimizu, it combines traditional Silent Hill atmosphere with a new combat system and deep feminist themes. After 12 hours of gameplay, I can confidently say - we're finally back.
Otherskin is a moody, atmospheric indie RPG that excels in storytelling, world-building, and strategic combat. While it has some pacing issues and technical hiccups, the unique experience and engaging narrative make it worth playing. I'm giving it a solid 7/10 - a good game that indie fans will appreciate, even if it doesn't quite reach greatness.
Tales of the Shire promised a relaxing experience in the Shire but falls into complete mediocrity due to poor optimization, unattractive stylization, and very basic mechanics. Despite having a functioning foundation and occasionally capturing atmosphere, the Lord of the Rings brand deserved much better treatment.
Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater achieves 86% on Metacritic thanks to faithfulness to the original and graphical improvements. Unfortunately, it suffers from dramatic optimization problems - no console mode ensures stable FPS, PS5 Pro runs worse than base PS5, and PC version frequently crashes. Multiplayer component is also missing at launch.
Liminal Exit is a surreal walking simulator that excels at psychological horror through atmospheric tension and anomaly detection gameplay. With stunning visuals and simple controls, it creates an unsettling experience that tests your attention to detail and nerve. While sound design could use improvement and the minimal story won't appeal...
Mafia: The Old Country takes the series back to 1904 Sicily, delivering a linear, story-driven experience that captures authentic atmosphere despite familiar gameplay. Strong voice acting and immersive period details elevate standard cover shooting and stealth mechanics. While predictable, it's an engaging 13-hour journey that successfully...
Killing Floor 3 offers quality cooperative shooting with improved mechanics, but suffers from lack of content. Only 6 classes, 30 weapons, 8 maps, and 3 bosses feels more like Early Access than a full game. Compared to Killing Floor 2, it lacks the depth and complexity that series veterans expect.
WildGate combines the best elements of Sea of Thieves with intense 5v5 PvP combat in space. Excellent ship-to-ship combat, robot character as game-changer, and extraction gameplay create an addictive combination. Definitely worth watching!
Nintendo Switch 2 is exactly what you'd expect - higher performance, similar design, and backward compatibility. However, it lacks compelling game releases and the display suffers from ghosting issues. Perfect for newcomers, current Switch owners can wait.
